An information session will be held on Zoom for those interested in the MMA and Suffolk University’s Certificate in Local Government Leadership and Management program or their Municipal Finance Management Seminar.
The graduate-level Certificate in Local Government Leadership and Management provides a solid grounding in municipal management, and covers topics such as human resources management, budgeting and financial management, and strategic leadership. The program is held over the course of 25 Fridays from September through May. The certificate program application will become available on the MMA website on Feb. 1.
In 2024, the MMA and Suffolk have three offerings of the Municipal Finance Management Seminar, designed to provide an overview of municipal finance in Massachusetts, including the operational aspects of finance structure, systems and processes in cities and towns. The seminars are held via Zoom over the course of five Fridays, with start dates on Jan. 5, March 1 and Oct. 18. The application for the 2024 finance seminars is available online as a fillable PDF.
