Instant replays could be aired in real-time with just 15 seconds elapsing between the opening bell and a concussion-producing punch from Matthew Semelsberger to Martin Sano at UFC 266.
The welterweight bout had barely gotten started at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas when Semelsberger sat down on a straight right that beat Sano’s left hook to the target. Sano was out from the second the punch landed, and his head bounced off the canvas as the referee moved to intervene and got there at 15 seconds into the opening frame.

Semelsberger got back to the win column and improved his octagon record to 3-1 after a decision setback against Khaos Williams in June. Sano opens his octagon career on a loss and is now facing an 0-3-1 skid.
